What does it mean to “save as a PDF” in Photoshop?
Saving your work as a PDF (Portable Document Format) makes your file easy to share, print, or view across different devices and operating systems. Unlike a Photoshop (.PSD) file, a PDF doesn’t require Photoshop to open, and it can preserve layers, vector text, and high-quality images depending on the settings you choose.
What does “preflight” mean in printing?
Preflight is a PDF quality control process. Its goal is to confirm that all the assets and files needed for printing are valid and in the correct format. Preflighting your files helps prevent common printing errors, like missing fonts, low-resolution images, or incorrect color profiles. At MOO, we use Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop to preflight before sending files to print.
