When printing designs containing very light colors or thin text/elements, please note that the final result may appear slightly pixelated or dotty. This is because we use a digital printing process in which the print is made up of a series of dots. Lighter colors and thin design elements rely on the white of the paper showing through, so these designs can appear pixelated or dotty, even with a high-quality file.
You can see some close-up photography of some sample cards below:
For a more crisp and clear final print, we’d recommend using more saturated/darker colors and thicker text/design elements. We’d suggest any text pt/line weight to be no smaller than 8pt/thinner than 1pt for best results.
Please note that your designs may also print pixelated if the files used are of low resolution (saved to less than 300dpi). We recommend using high-quality files such as vector-based PDFs or high-resolution JPEGS (saved to 300dpi) to avoid this.
