What does “convert text to shape” mean?
When you convert text to a shape in Photoshop, the letters are transformed from editable text into vector paths. This allows you to use tools like the Direct Selection Tool to move anchor points, reshape letters, and create custom typography effects. After converting, the text is no longer editable as text—you can’t change the font or retype words.
